Saturday Hockey
Every year Mrs McHaffie-Green chooses ten children to play in her Saturday Hockey team, the Manurewa Central Chiefs.
Our goal is to stay undefeated!
Every week rain or shine, the support is great from the teachers and parents that come to cheer us on.
HOCKEY REPORT
This year 12 hockey players from Manurewa Central took part in a friendly season of Saturday hockey. We were nervous because only 3 of our players had played before. For the rest of us it was a new experience.We won all our games mostly because we passed the ball and we worked as a team.
Once we got used to our positions we dominated the field. Mrs McHaffie has taught us a lot of skills and attitude that we used in our games. We have had a wonderful season with Mrs McHaffie-Green as our coach and have really enjoyed it.
