Councillor - Rose Johnston

My name is Rose. I am 11 years of age and was born on 22 June 1998. I come from a family of five. I am one of the eight councillors at Manurewa Central School. I am currently in Room 11.

I live with my Dad (Malcolm) my Mum (Sonia) and my two sisters, Aimee and Olivia. We also have a pet dog named Joe. We live in Hillpark. On Sundays, my family and I go to church where I am a part of a youth group named Extreme. At Extreme, we normally meet on Friday or Saturday but sometimes we go on weekend camps.

I have lots of different hobbies like singing, dancing, drawing, swimming, reading, crafts and much more. My favourite subjects at school would have to be reading and art. I have lots of friends, but my closest friends are Olivia, Sarah, Tessa, Chloe, Ella, Caitlin and Maile. I have lots of friends at church too.

My favourite holiday would have to be going to America (Disneyland) and Europe (England and France) in 2008. My two favourite colours are yellow and green. My favourite foods are carrots and chocolate. One of my dislikes is brussel spouts!

School is very important to me. It has been some of the best years in my life. I have had lots of great achievements but my favourites would be being chosen as a school councillor, Young Leaders’ Day and being a librarian. My goals for 2009 are to have high achievements in all my work and to be a great role model for other students.

“With great power comes great responsibility.”

I am special because I am kind and caring towards others and put others before myself.

School Councillors.
