Room News

We have been creating artwork for the art display later in the term. We have made fish on black paper.

First we had to plan our fish. Then once we had drawn them on the black paper with white chalk we completed the body with coloured paper. We wove strips of coloured paper on the tails and fins of the fish. To finish the bodies of the fish we drew koru on coloured paper and then cut them out.

Our backgrounds were made by sponging a mix of light and dark blue paint on to a large piece of cardboard. Then the completed fish were glued onto the background. They were great fun to do.
